Radizi’s album Cal y cemento (lime and cement) presents a fusion of edgy urban electronic, spoken word and traditional rural musical elements and instruments. This Spain-based folktronica collective blends past and present voices, rhythms, and sonorities to create a mesmerizing hybrid sound that merges trance with tribal influences.
Employing electronic elements, Radizi brings traditional Spanish music into a new realm, captivating diverse audiences and sparking interest in Spanish traditional music. “Cal y cemento” marks the collective’s debut album, comprising nine original tracks inspired by traditional rhythms and melodies from various regions of the Iberian Peninsula.
Notable guests include singer and multi-instrumentalist Eliseo Parra, a prominent and highly influential figure in contemporary Spanish folk music, the voice of Tomás Galindo and emerging vocalist Aroa Fernández.
