The Latin Recording Academy to Celebrate Paco de Lucía’s Legacy On April 13 in Cádiz

The Latin Recording Academy will honor the legacy of Paco de Lucía on April 13 in Cádiz, during the Latin GRAMMY Celebra event at the Gran Teatro Falla. Supported by the Programa FEDER Andalucía 2021-2027 and the Regional Government of Andalucía, along with sponsorship from the city of Cádiz and the Enrique Tomás brand of ibérico ham.

Renowned flamenco, jazz, and salsa artists such as Latin GRAMMY winners Antonio Carmona, Juan Habichuela Nieto, Oscar D’León, Pepe de Lucía, Eliades Ochoa, and Berta Rojas, alongside Latin GRAMMY nominees Diego Amador, Rubem Dantas, María José Llergo, Niño Josele, India Martínez, Israel Suárez “Piraña”, Maria Toledo, and Rosario La Tremendita, are confirmed to participate.

The lineup will also feature special guests, including Cañizares, Ané Carrasco, Tino di Geraldo, José Carlos Gómez, Chonchi Heredia, José Heredia “El Gato”, David de Jacoba, Jaime Calabuch “Jumitus”, Noemí Humanes, Juan Parrilla, José María Bandera, and 2022 Trustees Award winner, Abraham Laboriel, all paying homage to Lucía’s musical legacy.

Miguel Poveda, a Latin GRAMMY nominee, will host the event and perform alongside Carlos Grilo, Jesús Guerrero, Makarines, and Carlos Merino.

The production, led by Macarena Moreno and The Latin Recording Academy team under Ayleen Figueras, with musical direction by Carlos Narea, Fernando Illán, and Victor Martínez, will showcase Lucía’s music and mastery.

Tickets for the event are available through the Gran Teatro Falla, with proceeds benefiting the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation and the Paco de Lucía Scholarship.

Furthermore, a Latin GRAMMY Session is scheduled for May 16 in Málaga, as part of a series of events organized by The Latin Recording Academy to promote Andalusia’s culture worldwide.
