The Reunion Island-based band Grèn Sémé and Cape Verdean singer Elida Almeida join their voices on a new collaboration “Zènes” (Lusafrica). The meeting between Elida Almeida and Carlo de Sacco occurred during a concert in tribute to Cesária Évora at the Sakifo Festival in Reunion.
It was the group Grèn Sémé who had the idea of offering Elida a collaboration on “Zénès,” a sega/maloya song. “Zénès” is intended for young people, encouraging them to pull themselves together psychologically and culturally, and to take in hand the reins of its future.
