Before each world music performance, free pre-concert activities will engage families. Throughout the week leading up to the concerts, thousands of New York City schoolchildren will participate in energetic culminating concerts at Carnegie Hall, highlighting what they’ve learned through the Musical Explorers program.

For over a decade, Musical Explorers has enriched New York City classrooms, reaching over 7,000 students this season. The program has expanded nationally with a digital platform, offering teachers free online resources. The artists scheduled for January 2024 bring unique perspectives to the program, reflecting their cultural backgrounds and musical expertise.
