Since its inception in 2012, Bombay Rickey has firmly established itself in the New York music scene. The band’s debut album, Cinefonia, released in 2014, received acclaim, earning the title of the best debut album of the year by New York Music Daily. Additionally, it secured the Vox Pop Award for Best Eclectic Album at the International Music Awards, further solidifying Bombay Rickey’s place in the New York musical landscape.

Notably, Bombay Rickey was recently honored with an invitation to create an opera cabaret production based on the life of Yma Sumac, the “Queen of Exotica.” This opportunity unfolded at the PROTOTYPE Festival in New York City, where their engaging show garnered a remarkable seven sold-out performances.
