Kennya Macedo is a singer with over 30 years in music. She has been and is part of several projects such as the Orchestra Paulista de Soul, and has been a member of several choirs such as the Luther King Choir, Coral do Estado. Furthermore, she has shared the stage with great artists such as Graça Cunha, Maurício Pereira, Nando Reis, Skowa Santos, André Abujamra, Brasileirinhos, Sandra de Sá among others.
Highlighting the beats of the drums, mixed with her powerful vocal timbre, singer Kennya Macedo presented her debut EP Caminhos in 2023, marking her new artistic phase. Caminhos is a portrait of the artist in her essence as she recovers her ancestry. Indeed, Kennya delves deeper into her roots and exposes her vast musical research and sound influence in this work.
Kennya Macedo was included in the Malungo Festival 2023, a unique platform that combines in-person and video showcases to honor the essence of Brazilian Black Culture.
