The trailblazing Afro-Peruvian sound architects, Novalima, have unfurled the second electrifying chapter of their La Danza EP. In La Danza Part 1 and 2, Novalima enlisted a new generation of artists who masterfully reinterpret their African lineage.
While embracing contemporary elements, Novalima maintains a profound reverence for their African roots, seamlessly weaving traditional rhythms and instruments from Africa.
Fresh off their triumphant North American tour, the band shares, “We’ve been aiming to export Peruvian culture through our music over the past 20 years, and so far we’ve been blessed by playing all over the world and meeting new great artists, who’ve somehow inspired our growth in music and our own artistic evolution. We are proud to be able to still go on the road with our family: our amazing live band, and this year we plan to take over new audiences to spread even more our music to younger crowds through our live concerts, which is an exhilarating dance experience.”
