Accordionist and singer Celina da Piedade, one of Portugal’s finest roots music artists, has just released the live video of one of her most emblematic songs of her career, “A Saia da Carolina.” This lively song is rooted in Portuguese folk tradition.
The video features artistic editing by Rita Carmo, based on images from the concert that gave rise to the album Celina da Piedade ao vivo na Casinha. Musicians include Ana Santos on violin; Fili Ribeiro on percussion and vocals; Nilson Dourado on guitar; Sebastião Santos on drums; and Sofia Neide on double bass.
