Musicport Is Back in 2023 with 3 Days of Engaging World Music, Arts, and Culture

Musicport, a prominent world music festival based in Whitby (North Yorkshire, UK) is set to take place from Friday 20th October to Sunday 22nd October 2023. The festival program includes some of the finest world music acts in the international scene as well as the UK.

The long-running festival, founded by Jim and Sue McLaughlin back in 2000, has grown to be one of the best known and loved international festivals on the European music calendar. After local music industry professional, Simon Williams took over the day-to-day running of the festival in 2022, he is keen to make the festival appeal to a bigger audience than ever.

“We are overwhelmed with the response to last year’s smaller festival, and we are ecstatic to bring back a full-scale 3-day event this year,” explains Simon.

“We have a great line-up planned with a great mix of live acts and our wonderful resident DJs alongside workshops, comedy, and open mic sessions.

Simon adds: “There is truly something for everyone, and we can’t wait to see faces old and new from the UK, Europe and beyond.”
