Spain’s AIEnRuta DeNuevo Announces Fall 2023 Tour Program

AIEnRuta DeNuevo is a program of the AIE Society of Artists that was created with the aim of bringing live music from artists who have published original works before 1985 to all concert halls in Spain. Groups and soloists, who are still active with new lineups, presenting the hits that many remember as well as new material.

AIEnRuta DeNuevo will take these artists to venues throughout Spain, so that their contemporaries can relive experiences and memories, and contemporaries can discover the history of Spanish music.

This program is developed annually in collaboration with the State Association of Live Music Venues (ACCES). The artists are selected by a group of journalists and managers of renowned venues. Each group or soloist of the four selected will go on a four-concert tour throughout the territory with the financial, production and dissemination support of AIE.

Malevaje

Malevaje’s alma mater, Antonio Bartrina, began to make known his passionate tango melodies at the dawn of the 80s. Although the base was always bandoneon, guitar and double bass, in Malevaje’s long career, the formation has stretched to be almost an orchestra and has included illustrious performers of all stripes to always return to its essence. In the exclusive selection of 18 songs that marked the history of tango made by Eduardo Makaroff, you can find “Esta noche me emborracho”.

Guadiana

Antonio Suárez Salazar, better known as Guadiana, is one of the greatest active flamenco singers. From Badajoz, nephew of Porrina de Badajoz, cousin of La Negra, Juan Salazar and Los Chunguitos. From a very young age he dabbled in the tablaos of Madrid, where he moved in 1972 and was soon in demand by artists such as Tomatito, Pepe Habichuela and Enrique Melchor. Voice of the world tours of Sara Baras and Antonio Canales, even maestro Paco de Lucía expressed his admiration for Guadiana’s talent.
