Pedro Rosa – Midnight Alvorada (ajabu!, 2023)
Pedro Rosa, a Spain-based Brazilian composer, guitarist, and singer, released his debut album titled Midnight Alvorada on May 12th. The album is a culmination of Rosa’s lifelong relationship with music and presents a diverse range of irresistible rhythms including samba, baião, ijexá, bossa nova, and waltz. Collaborating with renowned artists such as Jurandir Santana, Mônica Salmaso, Vanessa Moreno, Zé Luis Nascimento, and Ivan Sacerdote, Rosa has crafted a deeply personal and introspective journey in his music.
Co-created with his songwriting partner, Rafael Mourão, Midnight Alvorada invites listeners to empathize with others and embrace the dualities within themselves. The album represents a labor of love for Rosa, with the support and contributions of artists like Jurandir Santana, who served as an instrumentalist, composer, and music director. Zé Luis Nascimento, Ivan Sacerdote, Mônica Salmaso, and Vanessa Moreno also lent their unique talents and perspectives to the project.
Pedro Rosa’s intention with “Midnight Alvorada” is to inspire and touch audiences, conveying messages of hope, awareness, and tenderness that honor his Brazilian roots and culture.
