Cuban musician and composer Yilian Cañizares has revealed “Bembé,” the second single from her new album Habana-Bahia.
Yilian says about the song: “In Cuba, Bembé literally means ‘a wild party.’ This song is full of joy and rhythm, and brings together the best of Cuban and Brazilian cultures with my own unique touch. Recorded in Salvador de Bahia, with spectacular performances by the female percussion group Yayá Muxima, Bembé sums up the solar energy of my new album Habana-Bahia.
“The song is accompanied by an infectiously joyful animated video. It was directed by Leonardo Pérez and Papo Borges, and I invite you to watch it now.”
