The highly anticipated Flamenco Madrid festival of 2023 will kick off on May 17th, with an exceptional homage to the legendary Paco de Lucía. Directed by Joan Albert Amargós, this grand concert aims to infuse fresh vitality into some of the flamenco guitar virtuoso’s most iconic compositions, through a captivating orchestration for a big band. This performance is being produced by the Taller de Música de Barcelona in collaboration with the Escuela de Música Creativa de Madrid and the Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid.
The Suite de Lucía will take center stage at the Fernán Gómez theater, located in the Cultural Center of the Villa. The production will showcase the incredible talent of nearly thirty artists, including the likes of Carles Benavent, Antonio Serrano, Rafael de Utrera, and the awe-inspiring dance of El Farru.
