Sahba Motallebi, a renowned international performer of Persian music on tar and setar, will be performing at Roulette in Downtown Brooklyn on April 15, 2023, at 8:00 pm. She has been recognized for her exceptional performances and has collaborated with various famous artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Kayhan Kalhor. Sahba has been named Best Tar Player at the Iranian Music Festival for four consecutive years and has helped found the women’s ensemble Chakaveh.
She will be performing a mix of traditional Persian music and original pieces, characterized by improvisation and personal interpretations. Sahba has been an ambassador of Persian music, captivating audiences worldwide, and has also served as a music instructor at several institutions.
