Luar Na Lubre Announce International Tour

Luar Na Lubre, the iconic folk band from Galicia, Spain, is gearing up for an international tour that will take them through Uruguay, Argentina, and Cape Verde. With 37 years of experience in the music industry, the band has performed more than 2,000 concerts, sold over 350,000 records, and earned numerous prestigious awards for their work.

During their tour, Luar Na Lubre will showcase their latest work, ‘Vieiras e vieiros, historias de peregrinos,’ in addition to some tracks from their upcoming album, which will be their 20th and set to release in May 2023. The album will be a collection of iconic songs throughout their career, reinterpreted with important collaborations and a modern perspective.

On March 16th, Luar Na Lubre will kick off their international concert tour in Montevideo (Uruguay), followed by a show on March 19th in Buenos Aires (Argentina). They will then visit five islands in Cape Verde from March 23rd to April 2nd, where they will perform in Porto Inglês (Maio Island), Nova Sintra (Brava Island), São Filipe (Fogo Island), Tarrafal (Santiago Island), and Ribeira Grande (Santo Antão Island).

The band’s repertoire primarily consists of traditional Celtic music, infused with a modern twist. Luar Na Lubre is currently the most globally recognized Galician folk band, having performed in over 40 countries worldwide, from Palestine to Canada and Germany to Argentina.

Over the course of their musical journey, Luar Na Lubre has sold over 350,000 copies of their albums, received two Gold Records, nine Music Awards, and various other accolades. They have graced the stage at major festivals, collaborating with international artists such as Mike Oldfield, The Waterboys, the legendary group The Corrs, and Bob Geldof, as well as Spanish artists such as Luz Casal, Kepa Junkera, Pedro Guerra, and Diana Navarro, among others.

March 16th – Montevideo (Uruguay)

From March 23rd To April 2nd – Tour In Cape Verde: concerts in Porto Inglês (Maio Island), Nova Sintra (Brava Island), São Filipe (Fogo Island), Tarrafal (Santiago Island), and Ribeira Grande (Santo Antão Island).
