Senegalese artist Lëk Sèn has released a new video with the track ‘All you can do’, extracted from his “All you can do” EP, released in early November 2022.
“All you can do” is the third EP of Lëk Sèn’s Kanasou Zik (K-Z) project. It is a frenetic song that combines Afrobeat with Dancehall, performed in Jamaican Patois and is enhanced by the backing vocals of Julia Sarr.
On ‘All you can do’, Lëk Sèn speaks to his compatriots “We are lucky people, but the people don’t know that”. He talks about how lucky the people of Senegal are to live in a country full of cultural wealth and natural resources, and about the fact that societal values are being neglected, and natural resources poorly exploited, in order to follow or feed a pattern that is not naturally that of the African continent. Like a “parental joke” Lëk Sèn challenges them by singing “All you can do is follow“.
The clip was shot on the beach in Ngor with the appearance of Cherif Fall, Senegal’s no. 1 surfing champion.
