Registration is open for the 16th edition of the Andrea Parodi Prize, one of the most important European world music contests. Finals will be held in Cagliari in autumn 2023. Registration is free and open to artists from all over the world.
The submissions must contain:
- 2 pieces, one of which will enter the competition (2 mp3 files, auditions or live recordings or final creations, even previously released; indicate which of the two pieces you intend to compete with); the pieces cannot be only instrumental and must identify an overall artistic project linked to world music.
- lyrics and Italian translations of the two pieces;
- artistic curriculum of the competitor (individual or group).
The deadline is May 31, 2023.
The Award was created to pay homage to Andrea Parodi, a Sardinian musician of great importance in the field of world music, and was created by the Andrea Parodi Foundation under the artistic direction of Elena Ledda.
