Stefan Prigmore – Everything Is At Least Both (Old Sheepdogs Music Group, 2022)
Stefan Prigmore is an effervescent singer-songwriter with a distinct vocal style and delivery. Prigmore is more than a songwriter, he is a exceptional storyteller who engages you with his lyrics and spoken word style. Musically, Prigmore draws in various types of profound American roots music, from folk to blues.
“Everything Is At Least Both” is Prigmore’s second full-length album. Stefan teamed up with producer and recording engineer Clay Parker, who played on several tracks. The lineup also includes Pete Damore (Ordinary Elephant) on octave mandolin and mandolin and James McCann on steel and resonator guitars.
Highlights include the thought-provoking “David and Goliath”; the absorbing roots rock meets bluegrass song “Gunpowder and Pine”; the tale of “Devil Dogs and the Rattlesnake”; the steel guitar fueled “Doorgirl; and the soulful blues song “Real Man.”
Stefan Prigmore has been creating and performing music since his teenage years, following his father into the business in the same way he learned from his father out in the woods and the river. The pleasure Stefan finds in the outdoors and the appreciation he shows on the stage are part of the same values that sustain his music today.
Within 2018, Stefan was nominated for “Songwriter of The Year” by Fort Worth Weekly magazine; that same year, he won a tour grant from the Hear Fort Worth initiative. In 2021, Stefan launched his Patreon page, where he shares new and unreleased music, wild game recipes, and stories from the woods and water.
In March 2021, Stefan released his first solo, full-length album “River/Blood”, produced and recorded by Clay Parker. He now lives in far east Texas with his wife, Becky, and their squirrel, Leon Rausch.
