The Gavin Fairhall Lever trio has released its self-titled debut album. Recorded in Northern Ireland by producer Julie McLarnon, this 12 track album presents fresh, contemporary folk music rooted in various traditions.
Formerly known as The James Patrick Gavin Trio, Gavin Fairhall Lever includes James Patrick Gavin on fiddle, vocals; Tim Fairhall on double bass; and Adrian Lever on guitar, vocals, harmonium, piano.
The British trio envisioned recreating the feel and improvisational nature of their live performances in this record, so recording to analog tape felt like the right way to go.
Gavin Fairhall Lever have just completed a three-month tour, culminating in a sold out album launch at London’s Jamboree venue in King’s Cross. After a break, the trio are currently booking for a spring tour.
The album is out now across all platforms, but exclusively available in physical CD from their Bandcamp shop: gavinfairhalllever.bandcamp.com.
