Rich Huang & Alex Wu are set to perform at the @ Taiwan on Saturday, October 15, 2022, 8:30PM – 9:00PM (GMT+8) at the Island Stage.
Rich Huang
Rich Huang, known as the “king of the drums in Taiwan” and hailed as the greatest drummer on the island, has been teaching the drums for 40 years and played for the recordings of over 100,000 songs.
He is the first Taiwanese drummer to have worked with the American instrument manufacturer Zildjian. In 2000, he played at the Jazz 30th Anniversary Concert at the National Concert Hall and gave a solo performance, a first for any drummer in the Taiwanese pop genre.
Alex Wu
Excelling at the erhu, Latin percussion, and hand drums from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, Alex Wu works in the genres of pop, world music, and jazz.
His extraordinary capacity for and experience with performance and ability to blend different styles has made him one of the top world music performers in Taiwan.
