On June 10 and 11, 2022, the town of Carcabuey located in the heart of the Sierras Subbéticas Nature Park (Córdoba) will host the first edition of Sonraíz. This musical, artistic, gastronomic and sustainable proposal seeks to promote the encounter and recognition of the elements that make up a culture and its origin.
Music is oral cultural heritage of a society, knowledge transmitted from generation to generation, especially by women. Sonraíz will feature the following female and female-led Spanish acts: Tanxugueiras, María Arnal i Marcel Bagés, Queralt Lahoz, Ana Alcaide, Sandra Bernardo, Blanca Paloma, Karmento, Mëstiza, Ruiseñora, Jihan & David Heredia, Lourdes Pastor, Savage Project, El Tragaluz DJs (Madrid) and Ussuru Sound.
This initiative arises from the Rootsound Music promoter, with the collaboration of the Carcabuey City Council, the Córdoba Provincial Council, the Subbética Rural Development Group and the Subbética Commonwealth.
Sonraíz will also include tastings of its award-winning olive oil and cheese. The natural and geological wealth of the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park will also be present in this experience for people who wish to travel one of its many beautiful routes. Workshops to learn about local crafts, a market with manufactured products of ecological and sustainable origin and to live a multisensory experience will also be available.
