Flamenco pianist and composer Juan Pérez Rodríguez, also known as Juan Pérez ‘Aure,’ was born in Huelva, Spain. From a family of flamenco musicians, and a Gypsy on his father’s side, his curiosity led him to a wide variety of music. He graduated in classical studies in Spain and Paris, and in jazz at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Juan Pérez Rodríguez has incorporated all these musical influences into his flamenco roots, with a richer sound, and a personal language developed in the field of flamenco.
He has shared the stage and recorded with musicians such as Michael Thomas, Zubin Mehta, Simon Shaheen, Pepe de Lucía, Carles Benavent, Jorge Pardo, Duquende, Diego el Cigala, Billie Drews, Gualberto García (Smash), Parrita, Bassam Saba or Alameda, among others.
Named “Flamenco Composer of the Year” in 2022 by the SGAE, and winner of the first SGAE Paco de Lucía Award that same year.

In 2025, he was selected to perform his music at the influential Nuevos Territorios showcase produced by the SGAE Foundation.
