Composer and guitarist José Carlos Gómez was born in Algeciras (Cadiz province). He has been fond of the guitar since he was 7 years old. At only 11 years old, he gave his first concerts as a soloist, including some of his own compositions and songs by Paco de Lucía.
At 16, he accompanied singers such as Canela de San Roque andr Antonio Madreles, and started to perrform abroad.
In 1991, he became part of the staff of the National Ballet of Spain. In 2001, he composed the soundtrack ‘Sin vergüenza’, by J. Oristrell.
In 2010, he released his first album as a singer and in 2013, Alejandro Sanz invited him to the Corazón Partío tour.
‘Origen’ (2016) was his highly anticipated flamenco guitar album, presented at festivals around the world.
‘Pasaje andaluz came out in 2018.
