Willy Calderón Releases L.A. Impromptu Highlighting Latin Tropical Music Made in Los Angeles

Percussionist, engineer and producer Willy Calderón is the mastermind behind The L.A. Impromptu Orchestra, a Los Angeles-based orchestra. The L.A. Impromptu Orchestra brings together over 30 of the world’s most reputable artists from various Latin music genres including salsa, jazz, son and popular music collaborating for the first time on a single album.

L.A. Impromptu was born from my heart, my home, my passion. I was inspired to create a band that would showcase all the talented artists on the west coast,” said Calderon. “I wanted this album to represent the best of Los Angeles and to remain a legacy of this period of time in music, of L.A, and of quality production and passion.”
