Mexico City’s marimba innovators Son Rompe Pera will be touring the United States for the first time. The band will be promoting its album Batuco (AYA Records).
Son Rompe Pera peform a combination of Mexican-style cumbia and rock. The group recently released “Bootleg Cumbia Vol. 1”, a 5-song EP from their Live on KEXP (at home) session. This recording is available only through Bandcamp.
