Samba master Jorge Aragão is set to perform at A Samba Summer Night in Long Beach, California, on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Raised in Rio, sambista Jorge Aragão has been building his career for over 30. Aragao is also a singer-songwriter and musician playing the guitar, surdo, cavaco, banjo and cavaquinho. He started his career in the 1970s as a sambista at dances and in nightclubs and has since recorded more than 12 albums and composed songs for many acclaimed Brazilian artists including Beth Carvalho.
His greatest hits include “Amigos… Amantes,” “Do Fundo do Nosso Quintal,” “Enredo do Meu Samba,” “Ontem,” and “Coisinha do Pai.”
