Melingo – Oasis (Buda Musique, 2020)
Argentine singer, musician and composer Melingo is a well known figure in Argentina. Although he started as a rock musician, he is currently a highly respected tango singer. His excellent 2020 album Oasis represents all the musical genres Melingo has been interested in (rock, tango, folk music, dub, etc.) plus a tribute to Greek traditional music (Melingo has greek ancestry).
Two well known vocalists appear on the album as guests: Andrés Calamaro (Argentina) and Vinicio Capossela (Italy).
Oasis was produced by Melingo. The songs include originals by Melingo and lyrics by various songwriters.

Also featured is La Típica Melingo, an 11-piece tango orchestra: Lucía Herrera (soloist), Tamara Zakour, Pedro Pablo Pedroso, and Eleonora Votti on violin; Gustavo Barahona on viola; Clement Silly on cello; Matías Rubino (soloist), Natsuki Nishihara, and Nicolás Ledesma on bandoneón; Patricio Cotella on double bass; Muhammad Habbibi on Guitar, Bouzouki, Baglamas, and Saw; and orchestra conductor and arranger Juan Pablo Gallardo on piano.
