Acclaimed Norwegian singer-songwriter and kantele master Sinikka Langeland has a new album titled ‘Wolf Rune‘ (ECM). The solo recording highlights Langeland’s work as a vocalist and mesmerizing kantele performer.
On ‘Wolf Rune’, Sinikka combines her own songs with folk hymns, shamanistic rune songs and traditional dance pieces. Her lyrics draw from multiple poetic sources.
Sinikka’s ECM discography includes Starflowers, The Land That Is Not, Maria’s Song, The Half-Finished Heaven and The Magical Forest.
