Berlin-based Argentine bandoneon player and composer Tomás Diaz and his band have released an EP titled “Tomas Diaz Cuarteto.” The quartet plans to release a full album later this year.
Tomás Diaz Cuarteto performs music rooted in Argentine traditional music combined with modern elements.
The quartet includes Tomás Diaz (Argentina) on bandoneon; Alejandra Tamburo (Argentina) on piano; Anna Huhn (Germany) on double bass; and Manuel Guarneros (Mexico) on classic guitar.
Songs available include Monte de las Luces (Chacarera simple), Con pua o con dedo (Tonada), A Rudi y Nini (Chamame), and A Don Julio Lorman (Chamame).
