Phoenix presents the Adrabesa Quartet led by Slovenian saxophonist Vasko Atanasovski. The quartet features top instrumentalists from various European countries who straddle the line between contemporary jazz, classical music and world music.
Call it world fusion, ethno jazz, ethnofusion or world jazz, this extraordinary ensemble masterfully intertwines jazz improvisation with traditional music elements from Slovenia, the Balkan region and Mediterranean traditions.
The album features a special guest, 18-year old cellist Ariel Vei Atanasovski, Vasko’s talented son.
