Italian singer and guitarist Letizia Fuochi has a new album dedicated to influential Mexican singer Chavela Vargas. The title of the new recording is “Fuegos y Chavela – Letizia Fuochi canta Chavela Vargas” (Materiali Sonori).
Letizia Fuochi passionately sings some of Chavela’s most famous songs: Macorina, Adoro, La Niña Isabel, Paloma Negra, Las Simples Cosas, No Volveré, No Soy De Aquí Ni Soy De Allá, La Llorona.
The lineup includes Letizia Fuochi on vocals and guitar; Francesco Frank Cusumano on guitars; Ettore Bonafé on congas, def mute, bongo, shaker, block and cymbal.
