Trenzinho da Montanha (Little Mountain Train) is the second album from Café Do Choro. It is the project of Australian composer and multi-instrumentalist Jenni Bell. The album consists of original musical compositions by Bell. Most of the musical pieces are rooted in Brazilian choro style plus two forrós, a Brazilian couple dance style.
Choro has inspired artists outside Brazil and is currently performed in various countries across the globe. Café Do Choro’s first album was 2016’s ‘Around the Town.’
Trenzinho da Montanha features Brisbane’s finest choro musicians. The lineup includes Jenni Bell on alto flute, piccolo flute, violin, viola, rabeca (Brazilian violin), keyboards, percussion; Eddie Gazani on violão 7 cordas (7-string guitar), 6-string guitar, cavaquinho, and vocals; Jason Paprika Bell on pandeiro, tan-tan, zabumba, percussion, shaker, prato e faca (plate and knife); Kay Anne Sullivan on sanfona (accordion); Ricardo Bona on sanfona (accordion); Peter Freeman on electric bass and uke bass; and Greta Hunter on double bass.
