Ṛṛways Anthology, Ten-Volume Boxed Set of Moroccan Amazigh Heritage

A new anthology titled “Ṛṛways:A Journey into the Realm of Amazigh Wandering Poet-singers” is now available. The Moroccan Berber music collection is the result of two years of meticulous research work and comes in the form of a 10-album boxed set containing 100 tracks recorded by more than 80 artists in a Casablanca studio.

The set contains three 120-page booklets in Arabic, English and French, tackling several themes such as the origins of the music of Ṛṛways, its history and its evolution over time, the different rhythms as well as the biographies of the main Ṛṛways and Taṛṛwaysin.

The Anthology is fundamentally a tribute to Taṛṛwaysin, Ṛṛways and all those who continue to perpetuate this artistic tradition which is an integral part of Morocco’s national musical heritage.
