Award-winning Danish folk singer and pianist Helene Blum and the Harald Haugaard Band collaborate once more on Strømmen. The superb album features an exquisite mix of contemporary Danish folk songs and captivating instrumentals.
Strømmen highlights the spellbinding lovely vocals of Helen Blum and the masterful fiddle work of her husband, multi-instrumentalist Harald Haugaard. The album contains original compositions by Helene Blum and Harald Haugaard as well as recreations of traditional Danish folk songs.
Helene Blum sings mostly in Danish although there is also singing in English. Many of the lyrics include poems by several of Denmark’s best known poets. The CD booklet includes original lyrics in Danish and English-language translations.
