Áfríkà Rising is an excellent album from Nigerian composer, vocalist and master percussionist Tosin Aribisala. Aribisala delivers a captivating mix of Afrobeat, funk, R&B and Afrojazz. His musical style is characterized by the use of a fantastic rhythm section highlighting polyrhythmic West African and Cuban percussion.

Although Aribisala currently lives in the United States, the album features musical sessions recorded in Nigeria and the United States featuring an impressive list of top musicians.
