Celebrated Cameroonian musician Manu Dibango passed away today, March 24, 2020 after contracting the new coronavirus COVID-19. The news appeared in Dibango’s official Facebook page.
Dibango played saxophone and combined African traditional music with jazz and funk. He had an international hit song in 1972 titled “Soul Makossa.”
