Fabrizio Piepoli is an Italian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. His album Il cedro e la rosa (2019) combines original tarantellas and love songs from Gargano and Salento (the two southernmost parts of the Southern Italian region of Apulia) along with heartbreaking Portuguese fados, Sephardic influences, Greek and Lebanese melodies, and ancient prayers in Aramaic.
Piepoli has a remarkable, wide vocal range. He uses fascinating effects, including spellbinding reverb, loop techniques and ambient electronic sounds, a sort of ethno-ambient sound.
