Trigon was founded by Anatol Stefanet with the intention of combining Moldovan folk music and jazz. The group has toured across Europe performing its unique sound.
The musicians: Anatol Stefanet He began his career as a folk musician (viola) at the age of 12. Later he joined the most outstanding folk music orchestra in the country, Lautarii, and toured round Europe, South America and the US. He played with Gheorghe Zamfir in his tour of Germany and Romania. A couple of years later he founded Trigon jazz-folk trio. Stefanet has worked as director of a folk music orchestra and also as a jazz musician. In 1996 he participated in the Black Sea Orchestra project with Okay Temiz, Enver Izmailov, Alex Alexandrov, Floros Floridis, Zurab Gognidze, Ivo Papazov, and Harry Tavityan (Istanbul, Turkey)
Alexandru Murzac Graduated from the Polytechnic institute with a degree in architecture and in 1991 he graduated from the Music academy in the section of conductor of orchestra – class of double-bass. He fhas formed part of various pop groups, Orizont and Viitorul. Since 1998 he is a member of the Trigon trio.
Oleg Baltaga – He graduated from the Art Institute fin the section of percussion. The National Philharmonic employed Baltaga in 1976. He has collaborated with various bands: the Maria Codreanu group, Orizont, Legenda and jazz band Kwarta. Since 1986 he is a professor of percussion classes at the Music Academy. Baltaga has participated in many jazz festivals in the cities of Yalta, Yaroslavl, Krivoi-Rog, Chisinau, Bucarest , and Brasov.
