Cabruera

Cabruera comes from the state of Paraiba, in Northeast Brazil. The band has been touring outside Brazil since 2000, and have played in festivals like Heimatklange, Sfinks, Dunya, Amiens Jazz Festival and many others. During Midem 2003, Cabruera was the highlight of the Brazilian showcases.

The band plays a mix of mangue beat, baião, forró, psychedelic rock, funk, ska, and samba.

Band members include Arthur Pessoa on guitar and vocals; Edy Gonzaga on bass and vocals; Leonardo Marinho pn guitar; and Pablo Ramires on drums and vocals.
