Goran Ivanovic Trio has announced that it will be touring the American Midwest in December 2016. Goran Ivanovic Trio features guitarist and composer Goran Ivanovic, bassist Mike Harmon and drummer Pete Tashjian. The trio experiments in the fusion of classical, rock, jazz and various styles of traditional folk music.
The power trio’s debut album is laced with sing-able melodies, rich harmonies and complex rhythms. From the uplifting Americana influenced sounds of Alvorada Americana to dark mood songs like the haunting Patient Zero the album comprises a diverse palate of flavors.
In the song Querido Paco, Ivanovic pays tribute to lifelong influence, legendary Flamenco guitarist, the late Paco De Lucia. The Lively composition Tic Tac Toe is an audience favorite, with nearly 7 minutes of acrobatics on guitar it takes the listener through hard rock riffs, Flamenco rhythms and classical harmonic development.
Maurice’s Ragtime features friend and cellist Ian Maksin. The track features a slow ragtime feel with impressionistic harmonies reflective of French Composer Maurice Ravel.
