Rudolstadt Festival, Germany‘s largest world music festival has announced the artist lineup for 2016. Hermeto Pascoal, Element of Crime, Sidestepper, Cäthe, Lena Willemark, East Cameron Folkcore, Anoushka Shankar, Edmar Castañeda, Alejandra Ribera, Glen Hansard, Keren Ann are some of the headliners revealed. Rudolstadt Festival will take place July 7-10, 2016.
This year, the special guest country at Rudolstadt will be Colombia. The festival features a wide-range roots, folk and world music. To kick off the event, cult songwriters Element of Crime will open the Festival in the Thuringian town of Rudolstadt. Three days later it will close with the acclaimed Oscar winning Irish singer and songwriter, Glen Hansard. In total, Rudolstadt Festival will present around 300 concerts, workshops and conferences.
