Malian world music sensation Bassekou Kouyaté has released a new music video titled “Musow Fanga”. The track appears in Bassekou Kouyaté & Ngoni Ba’s most recent album, ‘Ba Power‘ (Glitterbeat Records).
‘Ba Power’ features a new configuration of the traditional ngoni. Bassekou Kouyaté has added rock music like distortion and wah wah, making his captivating Malian-rooted sound even more powerful. The album includes guests from Mali, the United States and the UK, including Samba Touré, Zoumana Tereta, Adama Yalomba, Jon Hassell, Chris Brokaw, and Dave Smith.
