Emerging African band Tal National (Niger) is set to perform at Café Oto, Dalston (London) on Thursday, July 23rd, 2015, in support of its second album ‘Zoy Zoy’.
After spending more than 10 years performing throughout Niger, normally on dirt roads across the Sahara, playing epic five-hour sets, seven days a week, selling their CDs on street corners and roundabouts, they are finally getting international attention.
Indie label FatCat released ‘Kaani’ in 2013 to Western audiences and critics quickly embraced the band’s unique mix of desert blues, rock and Western African music.
Tour dates:
Thursday, July 23rd – London, Café Oto, Dalston
Friday, July 24th – Womad Festival, Charlton Park, Malmesbury
Saturday, July 25th – Wickerman Festival, Dundrennan
