King Jammy Reggae Anthology to Be Released July 24

Roots, Reality And Sleng Teng, a 2 CD/DVD reggae set from influential producer King Jammy is set for release July 24, 2015 on VP Records’ vintage label 17 North Parade.

Lloyd “King Jammy” James produced numerous recordings throughout the various styles and eras of reggae. The collection includes early live analog recordings, the first digital reggae recordings and modern reggae/dancehall.

The double-disc deluxe package features extensive liner notes written by reggae historian John Masouri as well as a bonus DVD documentary King at the Controls (originally released in 2006).
