The Afro Roots World Music Festival Returns to Miami in August 2015

Afrooots_Miami2015The 16th Annual Afro Roots World Music Festival is scheduled for August 6-8, 2015. This year’s program includes local, regional and international acts, including headliners Hassan Hakmoun, Locos Por Juana and Bateria Unidos de Miami. The concerts will take place in three different venues: Blackbird Ordinary, Little Haiti Cultural Complex and the North Beach Bandshell

The complete list of artists includes Hassan Hakmoun (Morocco), Locos Por Juana (Colombia/USA), Bateria Unidos De Miami (Brazil), Conjunto Progreso (Cuba/Miami), Morikeba Kouyate (Senegal), Palo! (Miami), Los Herederos (Cuba), Nag Champayons (Little Haiti), Cortadito (Cuba/Miami), Patacon Conspiracy (Colombia).
DJs include DJ Le Spam, DJ Moses and DJ Lance-O

The event includes a world music conference with lectures, workshops, and a panel discussion on the business of world music and a Global Bazaar.
