Celebrated world music act Niyaz Featuring Azam Ali is set to perform on Thursday, May 28, at 20:00 (8:00 p.m.) Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. They will be performing music from their new album, Fourth Light.
Niyaz is led by vocalist Azam Ali and multi-instrumentalist Loga Ramin Torkian on oud and kamaan. They mix medieval Sufi poetry and folk songs from their native Iran with rich acoustic instrumentation and modern electronic rhythms.
