World music expo WOMEX is seeking submissions for its conference program. This year’s edition of will take place in Budapest, Hungary from Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25, 2015. The deadline for conference proposals is Friday, April 10, 2015.
The WOMEX Conference is where the global music industry gathers to discuss hot topics; analyze current issues; and put forward new ideas and thinking for moving the industry forward. The conference program allows conference delegates to network with their peers and obtain advice and insight into certain topics.
This year, WOMEX is is especially interested in submissions that look at Hungary’s musical traditions; the Eastern European music market; digital media and tools for music professionals; as well as synergies between world and other styles such as jazz, roots and folk.
Industry experts are also being sought to share their knowledge on all manner of areas such as live production & touring, label & publishing and PR with WOMEX delegates via the One-to-One or Roundtable Mentoring Sessions.
Last year, 70 speakers and mentors from 26 countries hosted over 20 conference sessions; numerous Networking Meetings, Presentations, Receptions and Speed-Dating.
