Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison is among an exciting list of artists confirmed for Celtic Connections 2015.
Morrison’s latest album, 2012’s Born to Sing: No Plan B, captures the uncompromising passion and drive that have been constants throughout his extraordinarily rich and varied 50-year career. Born in Belfast, and originally inspired by his shipyard worker father’s collection of blues, country and gospel, Van the Man has worked with such fellow legends as Bob Dylan, The Band, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles and Tom Jones, amassing numerous top honors including six Grammys, an Ivor Novello Award, an OBE and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
