The Alcobendas City Council has announced the international flamenco Song and Dance Competition ‘Alcobendas Flamenca Nuevos Talentos’. The competition has an endowment of €5,000 in prize money and is dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of emerging talent, under 30 years old, from anywhere in the world.
Registration is available through http://www.AlcobendasFlamencaNuevosTalentos.org and the winners will be selected by a specialized jury. The Audience Award will be designated by voting through a social network.
The four winners will perform at a gala to be held on May 29, 2015 in the Auditorium Paco de Lucía at Centro de Arte Alcobendas (Alcobendas Arts Center). Cristina Soler, winner of the 2014 competition, will the guest artist as part of the Alcobendas Flamenca 2015 festival.
Winners will receive the following prizes:
National-International Category
• Premio Alcobendas Flamenca Nuevos Talentos de Cante (new vocal talent award):
€ 2000 + Award Certificate + performance at Alcobendas Flamenca 2015.
• Premio Alcobendas Flamenca Nuevos Talentos de Baile (new dance talent award):
€ 2000 + Award Certificate + performance at Alcobendas Flamenca 2015.
Local Category
• Premio Alcobendas Flamenca Nuevos Talentos de Cante:
€ 500 + Award Certificate + performance at Alcobendas Flamenca 2015.
• Premio Alcobendas Flamenca Nuevos Talentos de Baile:
€ 500 + Award Certificate + performance at Alcobendas Flamenca 2015.
Public’s Choice Award
The most voted artists in each category (song and dance) via Facebook will be given the Audience Award diploma.
