China’s Influential Sound of the Xity 2015 Music Showcase Seeks Proposals

Sound_of_the_Xity2015China’s international music industry expo called Sound of the Xity (SOTX), and world music expo WOMEX partner event, is seeking proposals for the 2015 edition, taking place in Beijing, China from April 28 through May 3, 2015.

Artists from across the world are encouraged to submit a proposal for 2015’s musical line-up. The deadline to submit proposals is Wednesday, December 31, 2014.

These showcases are great opportunity for international artists to increase their visibility in China and Asia as a whole, and allow Chinese artists exposure to SOTX’s international delegates. Artists are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure the best chance of being selected.

At its third edition in 2014, SOTX drew more than 750 music industry professionals from 20 countries to the Beijing and featured a Showcase Festival, Conference program and Musuic Expo.

More than 6,000 people attended the public Showcase Festival that featured over 50 acts, many of whom secured shows as a direct result of having performed at SOTX.
